Noble Drow

Noble drow are typically clerics (Which can only be female) and wizards who follow the dark path of Lolth. They are extremely Matriarchal.


Physical Description:
Ebon skinned and usually slender with white hair and red, purple or green eyes. They don't generally pass five feet, eleven inches in height.

Society:
Noble drow are the ruling caste in the drow cities. They belong to the ruling families and spend much of their time looking over their shoulders and stabbing others in the back in order to increase their own rankings within their family heirarchy which begins with the Matron Mother of the house and then filters down from the oldest daughter to the Patron of the house and then the oldest to youngest sons. Any non-drow are typically frowned down upon greatly and are only kept around if they are useful in some way.

Relations:
Drow as a whole are met with hatred and disdain. Noble drow? Even more so. These drow are even worse than the commoners their society is built upon and they are feared as much as they are despised. They despise elves and worshipers of Corellon Larethian with a passion.

Adventurers:
Primarily, for wealth and power. To better themselves and their abilities to suit their own ends.

Noble Drow Racial Traits


CR+1 Humanoid (Drow)

+4 Dex, +2 Int, +2 Wis, +2 Cha, and -2 Con: Noble drow are extremely nible. They are silver of tongue and swift of mind and use these traits to further their own end by means of seduction and careful calculation. They are, however; frail of form which requires them to rely on tactics more than brawn.

  • Medium: Drow are Medium creatures and receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Normal Speed: Drow have a base speed of 30 feet.
  • Darkvision: Drow can see in non-magical darkness out to 120 feet.
  • Light Blindness: As deep underground dwellers naturally, drow suffer from light blindness. Abrupt exposure to any bright light blinds drow for 1 round. On subsequent rounds, they are dazzled as long as they remain in the affected area.
  • Immunities: Drow are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against enchantment spells and effects.
  • Spell Resistance: Drow possess spell resistance equal to 11 + their CR.
  • Keen Senses: Drow gain a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
  • Spell-Like Abilities: A drow noble has the following spell-like abilities. Constant—Detect Magic; at will—dancing lights, deeper darkness, faerie fire, feather fall, and levitate; and 1/day—divine favor, dispel magic, and suggestion. The caster level for these spell-like abilities is equal to the user's character level, the DC's are charisma based.
  • Poison Use: Drow are skilled in the use of poisons and never risk accidentally poisoning themselves.
  • Subterranean: Drow can move through natural difficult terrain at their normal speed while within underground or dungeon terrain. Magically altered terrain affects them normally.
  • Weapon Familiarity: Drow are proficient with the hand crossbow, rapier, and short sword.
  • Languages: Drow begin play speaking Undercommon and Drow Sign Language. Drow with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following languages: Abyssal, Aklo, Aquan, Common, Draconic, Elven, Gnome, or Goblin.
